We've seen LA producer Matt Lange evolve into a multi-faceted artist. Through his career he's dabbled in progressive, deep house, and on his most recent EP release, techno. 2016 has proved to be career-changing for Lange, after getting signed to the iconic mau5trap, and this week, we get to see yet another side of him in a new remix of Mat Zo's "Too Late."
The end of March saw another career-defining moment for production and DJ star Mat Zo with the release of his sophomore album, Self Assemble. Before Self-Assemble, we knew Zo as a renegade producer, making whatever music he felt in the moment – trance, dubstep, electro – and with that passion came quality. And with the release of Self-Assemble, Zo's music evolved into a focused, multi-dimensional journey through the mind of a musical genius. One of the standouts from the album was "Too Late," a stripped down alternative track featuring the vocals of Sinead Egan and Peter Sweeney that has a slow burn kind of development into fine-tuned, built up into bass. Today, Zo debuted Matt Lange's take on "Too Late," and it's a mature, fully electronic version of the track. Lange has used his production to emulate the original's feel through chill out, and it's streaming via Zo's SoundCloud page.
