LVNDVN told EARMILK the meaning behind this track, and it's pretty straight up.
"Plans is a track where the vibe is straight "set up". If you make plans, you wanna see them through. I wanted to create a vibe that begins where it ends, so to speak. Which makes me wanna give more, and makes the listener want more."
The production has the same ethereal female vocal loops in both the intro and the outro . What lies between the two, is LVNDVN's silky, smooth, angelic tone. He speaks about his plans of taking a girl on an escape. Whether this is a real or metaphorical journey, you'll feel like you've gently soared up to space after hearing his voice. His trembling vocals reminds us of a "dark, twisted fantasy" with a vibe similar to the The Weeknd's earlier projects. The New Jersey native builds off sexual synth sounds, listing his favorite passion tracks as Aaliyah's "Rock The Boat" and Phalaeh's "Afterglow".
