Even though he is relatively newer to the scene, the skillful way that Swiss producer and label boss Definition intertwines the best of both house and techno into his elaborate productions is gaining notice. Knowing such a sound is hard to fit into the rigid boxes of so many imprints, in 2011, Definition and Def:play founded Definition: Music, a label where they could follow their own definition of quality dance music. They haven’t looked back since, releasing a slew of high hitting releases that are making waves across Europe, and keeping with his genre defying sound, at the end of this week, Friday May 27th, Definition is back on Definition: Music with his very own four track Progression EP.

As with most of his productions, Definition gives “Without Any Doubt” a fullness that is impossible to ignore, building the track up from a crisp, galloping percussion and some heady synths but quickly crescendoing it into a beast of orchestral bliss. Underneath, Definition keeps the track going with a strong beat and a heavy, uncompromising bass line. In keeping with the name of the EP, “Without A Doubt” has a progression that would rival most self-identified progressive house artists’ best work—the listener is along for the ride, one that you don’t want to miss.
