This isn't the first time we've profiled Birdee. He's one of Los Angeles's prized nu disco and house producers, delivering remixes, originals, free downloads and radio mixes that have an almost golden glow of groovy light beaming out of them. Today's release is no different – this time it's an EP with its two elements leading its musical presence – Unreal / Wake Me Up. Out today via Midnight In Paris, two new originals in a summery electronic style.
We have a first listen to the first track, "Unreal," whose name really describes itself. The single features production that is an uplifting happy medium between 1980's synth pop and today's progressive house and nu disco. With vocals from Julia Kautz making the track's energy extra infectious, "Unreal" makes us yearn for summertime sunsets and beach parties.
