Today EARMILK is premiering Mind Cntrl's Lawbreaker EP released off Uprise Music. It's difficult not to describe bass house without using ridiculous onomatopoeias, with the expected "wub" or "weow" trickling throughout the tracks. Despite these standard sounds found in your average bass house track, Mind Cntrl adds cohesion and sophistication in his sound that sets him apart as something memorable. "Law Breaker" is loaded with formant and jarring synths to set the pace for a club-worthy track. The middle-eastern inspired strings and trickling rumbles add a distinct flair to captivate listeners.. "Street Flow"s clicky 808's and repetitive notion will surely stay in your head. "Get It" has subtle 90's house vibes in his wavey breakdown and transitions into a spunky whirlwind of deep drops and grit. "4 AM" is full of thrashing synths over an electrified growl. The track throws punchy hi-hats and sports an industrial yet funky approach.
