Glasgow's Bossy Love isn't your typical R&B and pop music duo. Made up of Amandah Wilkinson, a singer and mechanical scientist, and John Baillie Junior, the duo's drummer and barbecue restauranteur, the group has an obvious diversity to draw from in its music. Noted as "One to Watch" by critics, their latest single, "Want Some" has garnered support from contemporaries with its release via Heka Trax. And today, we have an exclusive stream of one of the remixes from the single's remix EP, due out this Friday March 4th.
This one is from Big Dope P, a leader in the avant garde bass and club music scene out of France. His work on "Want Some" fuses hip hop, electronic and dance music in a way that does not escape perfection. Big Dope P's remix cannot simply be put in a "future" category, as its style encompasses more than just that futuristic house sound. Filled with quirky bass, sampling, anthemic hip hop-style synths and percussion, this one's a winner.
