New Orleans-based Luxley (a.k.a. Ryan Gray) released his latest track titled "Dance Baby" from his debut Spirit EP, set for release on May 20th. Filled with a decadent supply of 80's synth melodies, indie guitar hooks, arena rock style percussion builds and an exploit of vocal falsettos, Luxley's latest offering is both infectiously catchy as it is effortlessly danceable.
"Dance Baby is about love, sex, and the things that aren't good or quite right for us but that we just can't let go of. It's about an emotionally exhausting and un-ending relationship between two people who can't seem to let go of each other other. Sometimes those are the same things we end up "nostalgizing", for better or worse. We've all had a relationship like that. Sometimes a few." Luxley
Luxley was started when Gray, a former MD/PHD student at Tulane University, decided to break free from his medical program to pursue his passion for music and recorded his first EP, Spirit with co-producer Ayad Al-Adhamy (ex Passion Pit, Team Spirit) and engineer/mixer Justin Gerrish(Vampire Weekend, The Strokes) and producer Simon Katz (Jamiroquai) who was brought in on various tracks.
