Producer, DJ, and remixer Jagz Kooner has put his touch on many tracks and remixes for about two decades, including work with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Oasis, The Kills, and Kasabian. California-based artist is next to join the ranks, with Jagz Kooner remixing her track “Black Box.” It’s clear that Yang has an appreciation for the desert, she specifically mentions the Mojave Desert when it comes to her whereabouts.
“Black Box” has this enticing dusty and dirty hypnotic feel, energized by deep pulsating synths and topped off with Yang’s shadowy vocals. You can definitely hear how this sounds like the aforementioned Kooner projects. He hits that perfect alternative edge that makes you just want to cruise through high heat in a convertible.
