Today marks the beginning of the busiest time of year in house music: the countdown to Miami Music Week and Winter Music Conference. With three weeks left until the start of the year's biggest parties, label showcases, the IDMA's, and of course, Ultra Music Festival, artists across electronic music are gearing up their greatest music to release in time for the March event.
Labels like Mark Knight's Toolroom Records come into Miami every year with a hard-hitting, massive release to remind us of why their brand and their artists are so beloved. This week, Toolroom will release Toolroom Miami 2016, featuring 60+ tracks, including some of their biggest hits, new exclusives and three full-length mixes. The release will be, of course, expansive in their reign of deep house, house, techno and tech house, and will feature music from Mark Knight himself, Adam Beyer, UMEK, Chus & Ceballos, Luciano, Tiga and Mike Vale, whose track we have an exclusive first listen to today via our SoundCloud page.
The Slovenian DJ and producer is no stranger to the world of Toolroom, as his tracks have been released through the label and seeing features on other previous compilations like Ibiza and Toolroom Knights. This time, "Common Ground" is the perfect tech introduction to the upcoming week of music, warm weather and production talent.
