It's always great to see artists you've been following on the come-up. Rising producer AYO ALEX has been on his grind for about two years now releasing smashing originals and hot remixes of artists like Passenger, The Chainsmokers, and Makonnen. AYO is not one to be confined by genres, he can drop a club remix, and jersey beat, or something deep and sexy while still making his presence reverberate through every downbeat. This week he released his first major label remix through Atlantic Record's Big Beat (#BlessUp). His tune is a rework of the track "Vampire" by Lazyboy Empire. He starts the tune with soulful keys, a light clap track, and growing synths to set the mood. He jettisons the tune into a wonky soundscape of warbly bass and trebled tinged synth stabs that hit just right and still allow the vocals to shine through. It's another great tune to add to his catalog and surely not to be his last.
