Last week Animal Collective debuted “Lying In The Grass” via their iOS App Painting With. Lying In The Grass is the second release of the forthcoming studio album Painting With, set for release February 19 via Domino Records, which you can preorder here. Lying In The Grass is a chaotic yet melodic blend of warbly synths, frenetic brass, and the signature staccato vocals of Panda Bear. It is a refreshing release from their previous album Centipede Hz, which left much to be desired. You can listen to the track on Spotify, Apple Music, and via YouTube below.
