It’s only been a few months since the horrific November attacks on Paris and Beirut. Following the attacks, electronic producer Kill Paris announced in a heartfelt Facebook post that he would be changing his name to Chill Harris.
“From the beginning, it has always stood for sharing and focusing on the good and positive things in life, instead of magnifying and supporting the negatives in life,” Corey Baker said.
Just at the start of the new year, Baker has reared his head under his new moniker with his first official remix. Inspired by cruise control drives through the Rockies, he brought a beautiful chill vibe to GRiZ’s “Stop Trippin’” ft. Ida Hawk. His flip focuses on the vocals from Ida, sampling and manipulating her stop tripping line with light brass, melodic synths, and a driving bass lines that comfort and propel you. It is a melodious and “chill” rework and a perfect introduction the artist’s new alias that embodies his focus on the good and positive things in life.
