There’s something to be said about the holiday spirit and the season of giving. After recently playing a few shows in France for Carton-Pâte Records, this past Christmas, in the spirit of giving, Alan Parley aka Hostage decided to include “The Saint” in the imprints newest 18 track compilation, The Christmas Gift LP III, which is available to download for free.
Hostage immediately sets the tone of “The Saint” with a strong beat and some percussion to conjure up nice images of falling snow and even some sleigh bells, although you can definitely still hear Hostage’s signature sound underneath, within the track. Never allowing his sound to be overpowered, the track takes a turn with a dark flair supported by a crisp hi hat and some heady synths.
