We’ve had our ears to Louis The Child for awhile now, with their high-charting remixes of Kaskade and Oh Wonder, whose plays ultimately totaled in the millions. They’ve now released original new track “It’s Strange” on Next Wave Records. Electronic duo Robby Cauldron and Freddy Kennett are based in the Chicago music scene and have received notoriety in the past for being exceptionally young for their prowess in the studio.
This new track proves their talents beyond the remix world and features infectious, raspy vocals from K. Flay. The duo have placed these vocals atop funky, subtle percussion and synths that give us shades of Flume. In signature Louis The Child fashion, the song seemingly goes by the motto of "expect the unexpected," and that they certainly delivered. LTC have also recently been added to tour dates in Chicago and NYC with Kaskade.
