Although I don't often post about the darker side of electronic music, I am a sucker for it. Seigyn (pronounced like psy-jin) is a production duo out of San Luis Obispo, California, who focuses on the dark, deep, mysterious, sci-fi-esque side of electronic music, and this one got me feelin the dark vibes.
Yesterday they dropped their first original track "Dark City" which is 110 bpm, four-to-the-floor tune with a really cool intro, dark heavy drops and a mysterious break in the middle that flows into some original vocals. "Dark City" is the first of the Heian trilogy, which is the first chapter in the backstory they're developing for all of their original music.
Its not often that I come across music producers with such a solid creative vision for not only their music but also the graphic art and even a written back story that accompanies their original music. I'm a fan of what these guys are doing and if you dig this one as much as I do, I highly recommend following them to keep up with their releases. Enjoy.
