Scott Hansen's music as Tycho has become much more guitar-based on his latest album, Awake, so it makes sense that he's turned to the world of rock music for artists to remix. A while back he reworked Spoon's "Inside Out," and now he's added his touch to Death Cab for Cutie's "Ghosts of Beverly Drive." Weaving his fluid guitar melodies around Ben Gibbard's lonesome vocals, Hansen comes away with an incredibly compatible remix that bests the original and its chunkier riffs.
Death Cab for Cutie's new album, Kintsugi, is out now on Atlantic Records. Meanwhile, Tycho is wrapping up a hectic summer, recently delivering his second sunrise DJ set for Burning Man. Check out the "Ghosts of Beverly Drive" remix below.
