It's summertime in Florida and scintillating Sunshine State spitter, GABRL, is showing the sun what real heat is. That's right folks, his new album, Here's A Mixtape, is straight sizzling and a brilliantly assembled debut project. But I'm not the only one diggin' this record — even Sway Calloway played the lead single, "Lies," on his world-renowned Wake Up Show. GABRL also linked up with South Florida producer, Tyshane, who's worked with some cats you might have heard of before (e.g., 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Big Sean). Seems legit.
Right from the get-go, GABRL's delivery is strikingly unique. As he spits dope bar after dope bar with a permeating confidence, it almost sounds like he's running out of air; However, this is indicative of his passion for emceeing, not shortness of breath. It's also clear that he loves the craft and appreciates the roots, especially when he gasses on "Bet You Wish" after the instrumental abruptly switches to an old-school steelo.
