MIYNT reveals an intricate take on pop music with "Civil War" [Video]

MIYNT is a Stockholm based singer/producer who has been praised for her unique brand of avant garde pop music by a number of respectable publications, including The Fader and Spin Magazine, since the release of her debut single "Nick Drake" back in March. Since then, the Scandinavian songstress has only released an somber re-imagining of Britney Spears' smash hit "Baby One More Time", a move that acknowledged MIYNT's pop sensibilities while showcasing her ability to distort & alter these sensibilities to her particular liking.

Last week MIYNT debuted the video for her second single "Civil War" through The Fader, a song that was inspired by the vacillating movements of the ocean. "How they always move back and forward, and even though the shape and the amount of power changes, they are constantly drawn back into the ocean"(via Fader). Fitting with the theme, the 4 minute visual features MIYNT and her stoic associates posing in a beautiful beach front estate while the camera slowly zooms in and out on each highly stylized scene. Check out the video below and make sure to come back to EARMILK for all your music needs!
