If there's one emcee that deserves more attention, it's Homeboy Sandman. Besides the fact that the NYC spitter has flows for days, he's also dropped a myriad of tapes and projects. This proves he's not some flashy trendsetter, but a student of the game who's putting the pressure on others to come through with their best rhymes.
Before heading out for a tour to Europe and a few shows in the States, the Stones Throw artist dropped a satisfying loosie for us to enjoy. "Arrows" combines Sandman's lyrically potent bars and a heavy boom-bap beat from Mondee, making for a track that serves as a reminder of how nice he is with the mic. As the track comes to a close, he gives us some food for thought: you're either whack or you're the best, implying that the best rappers are the ones who took a lesson from Frank Sinatra and it their own way. Peep the track and make sure you hit him up if he's coming to your city.
