LEO has returned with their newest single "Settler." The groups latest offering is filled with dark, swirling guitars. Singer Megan McGeorge's vocals are also accompanied by an echoing Wurlitzer, and a taste of Fender Rhodes. McGeorge shines on the track, which has an old school americana/blues feel. Her lyrics and voice timbre draw you into the wonderfully alluring tune.
At The moment, LEO is tirelessly working on their upcoming record. Megan McGeorge suggests that LEO's new record will have more of an electric sound compared to their piano based songs of the past."I love a Wurlitzer and I love a Fender Rhodes and the more I play out with those instruments/sounds onstage the more I use them in the studio. I also record at an amazing studio that has many vintage keyboards to play with so that makes me want to share those sounds with an audience" says George. She also implies that there will be more guitar featured on the new record as well.
LEO is one of many talented bands the Portland, Oregon music scene has to offer. LEO looks forward to traveling and display their new material on the road. "We'd like to play a festival or two. We have some exciting collaborations brewing for both 'Stopping to Start' and 'Settler' with a few local filmmakers" say McGeorge.
