We can always count on the good people at Ninja Tune to do us a solid when we're feeling swamped at work, and today they really came through with this release of Seven Davis Jr and Julio Bashmore's "Good Vibes."
As the title suggests, there is nothing negative as this piece eloquently brings elements of funk to a modern day electronic dance world. Don't let the collision of these worlds fool you though, this is nothing if not a fantastic mesh of various influences that bring unity more than division for listeners.
