Based in Portland, Oregon, Electric Mantis has been recognized for making hypnotic beats perfectly blending together falsetto risers in the midst of faint bed squeaks, aching synth chords, and wavering water drops. Like "Flips and Flips, Drips and Drops", which is reminiscent of electrifying thunderstorms and the pattering of rainfall, Braincase moves quickly every which way with tracks such as "Apollo" and "Pixel Wave".
It's appropriately named as a trip through rapid oscillations and endlessly drives through your head. Yet as well as Electric Mantis masters percussion and synth bridges, he equally molds songs with sensuous positivity. For a melodic treat, check out "Pacific", a calming and conversational track for bright strolls through the day. "RoseCity" has a bittersweet arcade punch you'd expect to rise from the underground, whereas "Infatuation" is the finale that everyone's had a taste of.
