LA, kaleidoscopic pop duo BOUQUET present a minimalistic sound in what is otherwise a generally loud and proud electronic scene. So, it is without question that remixing one of their songs would call for an equally delicate mix. Cue in fellow minimalist pop musician Glasser whose 2010 debut album Ring broke through. Having since released a slightly more complex album in 2013's Interiors, Glasser (Cameron Mesirow) injects her vivacious beats into BOUQUET's "Stacks On Stacks".
Bringing together an enthralling mix of sounds, Glasser presents a stripped-down, washed-out industrial beat that perfectly highlights the subtleties in the BOUQUET vocals. As the remix to "Stacks On Stacks" progresses, the backing instrumentals continuously evolve with the constant drumbeat keeping the momentum. As a whole, Glasser captures a standout side of BOUQUET that has yet to be explored with her experimental reworking.
