As the hip hop editor, life is a little crazy right now. There is just so much going on, and especially living in LA, it does feel like life is a bit overwhelming. Luckily, I'm a little excited because I'm taking a step back and posting about a track that has zero to do with the hip hop world for a minute and talk to you about Jerc, a young act that we've covered once or twice on our site now.
He's clearly getting ready for some serious summer vibes because I can't help but feel the afternoon sun raining down on us whenever we feel, and any song that brings out those vibes has got support from me. While Black Box's "Ride On Time" is one of those songs everyone has heard (or the song that was sampled for it by Loleatta Holloway), this version takes the track and spins it enough that we can still recognize the original, basically breathing a little bit of new life into an old favorite.
