Since stumbling upon the Nu Age Syndicate, and most notably their more renowned rapper Chester Watson, I've been blown away by the collectives dedication to their craft. Each individual has a drive and work ethic that would be seen in most top rappers signed to million dollar deals, and they're doing this all from ground level. Whereas Chester might be taking most of the plaudits, as his affiliation with St Paul collective The Stand4rd stands to show how his underground recognition keeps growing, people shouldn't shy away from other members of the Syndicate. This time around we have a new joint from Kahmi, who's already appeared on our pages before with some already bangin' tracks.
His latest drop, "Midas", see's the young Floridian rapping over a more disjointed beat than we're used to seeing him spit over, produced by his compadre Chester Watson. With some crunchy percussion backing up his voice, Kahmi tears through the beat, rapping about trying to get paid, people hating on his team and the girls he encounters. Standing at only over a minute and a half, "Midas" is a short but sweet reminder that the rest of the Nu Age are on the come up too, and if you didn't already know, then now you do.
You can stream "Midas" below, and be sure to check out the rest of the Nu Age Syndicate and their music, you may just find yourself a new favourite collective.
