One thing to always remember when you press play for Lefti: the world is a dancefloor. Alex Suarex has released a remix of Solidisco and Fireflowerz’s “Unreal” on Mixmash Records in the past and is now out with another remix, this time reinterpreting Big Data’s track “The Business of Emotion”, which is originally scored as a rock fueled anthem. The Dancing Astronaut, the biggest influence in electronic music journalism, has already recognized Lefti's release, commenting on his "penchant for sugar-coated synthwork to create a tincture of indie appeal and dancefloor funk."
In his remix, Lefti turns The White Sea's vocals into an instrument of their own over organ-like arpeggios. His electronic infused funk melds into persistent chord progressions and accompanies an incredibly infectious bass guitar. “The Business of Emotion” comes alive though groovy bass leads, some muffled claps, and a catchy keyboard composition that’ll transform your scuffed up tennis sneakers into spotless black dance shoes. Its rhythm takes us back to the era of disco where heavy synthesizes, articulated beats, hyper-teased hair, and extravagantly reflective pants reigned supreme. As we dance our way down to the late night roller disco, we’ll be sure that the funk will be kept alive as Lefti continues to bring boogie fever.
