Houston, Texas is one of the true breeding grounds when it comes to hip hop music, particularly in that signature Texas sound. Rappers such as Pimp C, Bun B and more recently Travi$ Scott have all hailed from the city, and it's stature inside the hip hop realms is known worldwide.
Another Houston native who's hoping to get his own brand of rap out into the worlds ears is Mardi Lex, and today we've been blessed with a new joint from the talented Texan in the shape of the bumpin' "Loca". This is the rappers first cut of 2015, and what a way to get his year started, backed by a sharp, almost Hudson Mohawke-esque type beat, Mardi goes HAM, with a flow and cadence akin to a lot of the modern day rappers which skips over the beat with ease. He also adds a nice sung hook, showing that he's not just a rapper solely.
