Canadian hip hop music has been on fire in recent years. The amount of talent pouring out north of the border is incredible, and some of the forerunners such as Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR and The Weeknd have led the way for the more undiscovered talents like Rochelle Jordan and Teddy Fantum to emerge from the scene.
It's from the latter of the aforementioned names that we have some new music for you today, as Teddy Fantum drops the minimalistic "Temporary" on us. Another joint taken as a prelude to his forthcoming project Limbo, "Temporary" see's Teddy in his most zoned-in role yet, focusing all his energy into his art. Backed by a stripped down beat, with only a few bleeps surrounded by a wavey sample and banging drums, Fantum gets a blank canvas for him to paint with his words. The Toronto native steps through with a tight flow, as he discusses those temporary moments that we find ourselves lost in, and how he gets out of them.
You can stream "Temporary" below, and look out for Teddy's forthcoming mixtape Limbo coming out soon!
