After spending years as one of Warp's lesser-known mad scientists, Chris Clark really stepped into the spotlight with last year's Clark LP, a brilliant fusion of his usual experimental tendencies and more accessible, dance-focused tempos. The album is basically a nonstop adrenaline rush, and thankfully Clark has more material on the way in the form of a four-track EP, Flame Rave, out March 23.
"Silver Sun," Flame Rave's lead track, would be equally fitting for a club or a car chase; its jungle breaks and dystopian melodies as thrilling as Clark's best moments. According to Clark, Flame Rave will give us a chance to hear some of his live show, with two of the tracks being brand new and the others being reworked album tracks.
