Maxito is a DJ and producer from Amsterdam who has released music via both numerous solo tracks and through various side projects including Grey Area and Ana Prentice. Well-versed and versatile, he continues his impressive work on his own EP Transitions.
This deep house release is a solid collection of club-ready tunes. With the addition of an accompanying video, “Transitions” gets a visual definition of several literal transitions, signifying all the different elements of the track. It lies in a comfortable middle-ground, neither too deep nor energetic, the perfect transitional tune. The rest of the tracks follow suit, and fittingly progress in the same calm manor.
