When hip-hop legend Ghostface Killah announced that he had a full LP in the works with Canadian jazz virtuosos BadBadNotGood, the hip-hop world was thrown into a frenzy of excitement that has been steadily increasing with every newly released single. The fourth single "Ray Gun" has probably definitely received the biggest response as it features fellow hip-hop veteran MF DOOM, which is a big deal as these two rappers haven't been on a track together since they announced that DOOMStarks album back in 2011!
Ghostface and BBNG have decided to drop a campy, grindhouse inspired visual (directed by Dennis Schroeder) for the single that features Left Brain of Odd Future as the masked protagonist on a quest to rescue an exotic dancer from a shady strip club. It is a trippy & memorable video that successfully captures the cinematic wordplay and polished instrumentation of the track. Be sure to check out the Ghostface x BBNG project "Sour Soul" when it is released on February 17th, and also keep your eyes open for the newly announced DOOMStarks LP that is rumored to be released later this year!
