Wet Paint is a funk-infused duo hailing from Halifax originally. Their style has evolved from dub influences to land on a more cosmic style of new sounds and funky riffs. Wet Paint is expecting a new EP at the start of 2015 via the French label, OTODAYO. Until then though, EARMILK has their latest single, "Gold Lights".
The groovily groomed song features major jazz riffs that are reminiscent of Griz and Gramatik. Yet what Wet Paint brings forth further is an interesting transition from melody to the main meat of the track. They've proved themselves capable of working with exotic sounds and comfortable patterns recognizable of the duo. I can only expect a growth in production as 2015 comes around.
