Another Monday rolls around, and another week of music rolls in. I'm stoked to see what this week will have in store, as this is usually the beginning of the biggest time for new music of the year. The holidays are right around the corner, so here's an early Christmas present from My Digital Enemy, and their new remix of Sir Sly's "You Haunt Me".
Let's kick this Monday off with a few high hats and a deep house remedy, which should serve as a proper prescription to fight you mid-Monday lows. After an already stand-out year My Digital Enemy have stepped it up even further with a new rendition of Sir Sly's hit song, released on Cherrytree/Interscope. I've written up remixes of this song before, but they never get this kind of uptempo edit. The vocals are fit for a more ambient track, but MDE force feeds this track into a deep house arrangement, almost like they knew what was good for it. Brilliant.
2014 has so far been a landmark year for My Digital Enemy. Their single "Shaman" was supported by Pete Tong and Danny Howard in their respective BBC Radio One shows, all the while hitting number 1 in the Beatport Tech House Chart after just one month into the year.
