To celebrate amassing over 1 million plays on Soundcloud on their previous collaboration "Devour", lyricist of the moment Little Simz and UK producer Jakwob are back with the impressive "Time Capsule".
With a modest but catchy pop-soaked chorus from London songstress Caitlyn Scarlett the track is powerfully unpredictable, keeping you on your toes. The production from Jakwob is impressive; he breaks boundaries interchanging smooth vibes with a ferocious bass. Simz's lyrics are contemplative, addressing her successes in a reflective soliloquy: "Tell her to keep faith and learn to save what you earn". Caitlyn Scarlett's effortless vocals enforce the contrasting sounds.
Premiered on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show, it's another impressive track for Simz to add to her collection. Seriously exciting times for the UK music scene.
