NephLon Don and DJ YRS Jerzy are ready for Halloween with a ghoulish new joint for the haters called “F*** ‘Em If They Hate”. A trapped out effort, the heavy track is described as “something for the streets,” and while the focus of the short piece is clearly to flex and send a clear message of NephLon’s tunnel vision as he looks ahead at success, “F*** ‘Em If They Hate” is dynamic, with shifts in tempo that radiate intensity and multidimensional with production that deserves a couple listens in quick succession.
You might recognise YRS Jerzy’s name from his affiliation with fellow North Carolina native Chox-Mak, but this new one with Philly’s NephLon Don signals a definite departure from the DJ’s 90s Flow lineage, and should be considered as another step in the right direction for independent artists looking to make their mark on this crowded industry; with a fresh take on a contemporary sub-genre. You can check out “F*** ‘Em If They Hate” below, with or without your Halloween ski mask.
