Jurassic 5 are an iconic hip hop group that formed in 1993, a full 21 years ago. They are true OG's in the game, combining catchy rhythm and some stellar lyrics to bring some truly memorable alternative hip hop, and producing legendary artists like Cut Chemist and DJ Nu-Mark to the forefront of the dj-ing game.
Marc 7 is another member of the band that is venturing into a solo career, and he's recently released Food, Clothing, and Shelter, a free tape available via Soundcloud. His lyrics come heavy, and it's no surprise he's comfortable behind a microphone as he spits rhymes for days and days. In the accompanying video for "I Who Have Nothing," a song off his recent release, everything is kept simple so that the message is alive and well.
