Toronto producer Nightizm has been on a tear recently, with three heavy-hitting releases in the last week following a show in Montreal’s hottest venue Apt.200 on St. Laurent Street. The final of the three was released this week, a remix to Schoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar’s song "Blessed". The song is another notch on the artist’s belt for his ever-improving remix style (and each time we think he can’t get any better). As opposed to his dark, gothic trap styled original work, this remix is a microcosm of the dichotomy of Nightizm. "Blessed" is already an intensely emotional song, dealing with topics including poverty, death, and struggling through failure. Nightizm managed to maintain the tracks original verses and structure, while adding his own beautiful touch.
