Skizzy Mars puts his own twist to the old hit by laying down some snappy bars and a entrancing hook that one can’t help but bob their head to in appreciation. The Penthouse Music artist not only flips the track but completely revamps it by putting his own spin on the production with moody piano chords and drifting melodic instrumentation while at the same time juxtaposing these elements with a repeating synth pad that seems like it came straight out of a NES video game. All these elements come together to make a fresh new track for Mars to add to his already strong catalog of memorable songs.

“The Way I Live” is the perfect capstone track for the summer as it tapers to an end.
