SonReal and Madchild bring the bars on “Live This”

With everyone from Degrassi's favourite paraplegic turned Young Money Entertainment affiliate Drake to heavily slept on cats like Saukrates and Raz Fresco, Toronto gets much of the glory for birthing some of Canada's hottest names in rap. But if you journey to the West Coast, you're bound to come across a number of talented artists and two Vancouverites in particular: SonReal and Madchild. "Live This" is a heater in the fullest sense, as the slick wordplay from both rappers paired with a hypnotic beat make it feel a one-two punch.

The dynamic between the rapping/singing hybrid from the One Long Day emcee and the Battle Axe Warrior boss's vicious and vivid rhymes makes this one worth bumping again and again.And while the song may come across as having a heavy Drizzy influence as producer Alex Lustig comes through with a forceful, piano heavy instrumental that borrows itself from the OVO crew's playbook, it's nevertheless a cool joint to vibe with.
