It feels like it's been some time since we heard from Swedish production duo Alexander Fahlberg and Kristoffer Kent. As PANG!, they've begun to develop a reputation for bringing some quirkiness to chilled out disco, taking that even further this week with their latest track "Dingbat." Aside from the title's seemingly nerdy origin (a dingbat is not only a term for an absent minded person, but is a reference to printer typography), "Dingbat" is a release that pushes some boundaries, and is, simply, an interesting and entertaining listen. With a beat that sounds like it could go into cheesy Latin spinoff territory, it remains as likeable house with an enjoyable vocal. "Dingbat" is also a sign of the range in label head Avicii's taste, as it's out via his own PRMD.
