The reimagination of Jersey and Baltimore club has some people rubbed the wrong way, but masterful producers like Lido, Wave Racer, and Hoodboi pacify even the strongest of naysayers. Next up on that list is Y//2//K, 19-year-old producer from Scottsdale, Arizona. He has the sound we've been listening to for the past few months, so we automatically jumped on board. Melodic and emotive, the combination of spacey synth keys and grand piano riffs makes for a beautiful take on the style.

"White Wine" features Mark Johns, a relatively new female vocalist who has done features with Manila Killa and Strehlow. Her voice is delightfully raspy with a dynamic range and intimate flow. The tune's use of negative space and the fragility of the stabs brings a softer edge to the often harsh aspects of future bass tunes. Y//2//K incorporates familiar chain-link breaks and water droplets, though not incessantly so. Overall, the tune's combination of dope vocals and innovative instrumentals does them both well.
