Chox-Mak and DJ YRS Jerzy continue to represent North Carolina with real vision as their track turns up the tempo with a change of pace but remains insistent on keeping it old school. “Ages” is described, funnily enough, as “one for the ages”, and that can be understood in a number of ways. The new track, which enjoys production from the Ukraine’s MadSci, occupies a retro territory with a stripped back beat and a catchy, almost sing-a-long hook. In addition to the timelessness of the beat, the lyrics are for all ages as Mak holds his flow steady and doesn’t curse. That’s not to say he doesn’t go hard with his 90’s Flow bars on this one.
