Here’s another hot duo popping up across the pond. They go by the name Billon and have been making some noise with their classic house and UK garage inspired beats. I must say this is the first time I’ve come across the name, but it was love at first listen. Their single “Special” features Brooklyn's Maxine Ashley who has been spending her time rendezvousing with Pharrell Williams and as we are being told she's in line to be “his protégé”.
“Special” is a super fun dancefloor groover, between Ashley’s strong vocal lead and a bumping bassline, it’s no wonder the track has been put in the hands on tastemakers like Annie Mac, Skream, Oneman, Lee Foss, Mistajam, and MK, just to name a few. While we have no word on official release date, you can stream the single over on their Soundcloud and be on the lookout for the forthcoming release due out via Rinse.
