Howling Owl's most recent signee Something Anorak is someone to spend at least four and a half minutes listening to. Their debut single "I Am A Doctor" is really, really stunning grunge folk.
The tune, acting as a first taste of Something Anorak's debut album (which is set to be released in late 2014), encapsulates all there is to angst and alternative rock. Though lo-fi and fairly heavy at times, "I Am A Doctor" somehow manages to accomplish simultaneous dreaminess.
When piecing it all together, it makes a lot of sense to know that fellow UK-based musician Oliver Wilde contributed a helping ear in producing and mastering the album in its entirety. No wonder.
