Flume turns ears to liquid "Gold" with new rework

Deliciously smooth, the Flume rework of Chet Faker’s “Gold” is both imaginative and ingenious. With forward sneaking synths, subtle beats and soulful mouthy vocals; this remix is intensely enticing.

Track by track, Flume is establishing himself as a consistently heavy hitting force to contend with. Working with Chet Faker’s rhythm-centric original, smoothing out the vibe, taking it slower but keeping the energy and vocal integrity, and this rework is every bit as flavorful as first intended but has taken on a life all its own. "Gold’s" multi-layered charm has so many points of audio-interest, from the electric hymns, well timed female vocals to the rise and fall of inter-playing ingredients.
