Whimsical and playful, Inspired and the Sleep's newest song "Pool Guard" comes out just in time for summer. Based out of San Diego, Inspired and the Sleep represent their cities vibrant and relaxed vibe through their music. Their variety of rock touches psych rock at one end and carries a heavy enough hook at the other to be instantly catchy. With three singles and a concept album under their belt it seems that they have been progressively building on their sound and following.
Sporting a surf pop style throughout and an array of simplistic, but equally interesting instrumental cues, Inspired and the Sleep utilizes off key vocals to bring everything together on their newest song "Pool Guard". Out of the majority of their songs "Pool Guard" seems to stick the closest to a specific style, maintaining a focus that is evident by its foot tapping drive.
