Mapei released her hit single "Don't Wait" ALL the way back in 2013 ( though it seems far away) and right off of the bat I knew it was destined for remix greatness. Not only was the Swedish-American's original piece glorious, but the sweet vocals and rather mellow tone indicated an inclination for beatmashers and bands alike to take the song into their own quarters.
She pit out her debut EP originally as a rapper on Downtown Records in 2009. After the release of The Cocoa Butter Diaries, Mapei began work on her debut album with French electronic duo Justice. 'Cocoa butter'… I guess we could've anticipated Chance the Rapper and the Social Experiment's version of "Don't Wait" from that name (ya know, "Cocoa Butter Kisses"). I fell in love a second time when they dropped theirs, and today we meet yet again.
Not much is known of the duo Happy Accidents, and this is my first encounter with them. However, I'm loving their power pop vocal edit, complete with more cowbell than Christopher Walken could ask for. Take a listen now and cop that remix for free on Happy Accidents Soundcloud.
