As a DMV native, I can personally vouch for the amount of talent crawling around this place, scraping and clawing out of the city's cesspool yearning for a taste of the national limelight. The Metropolitan ready and willing to shake shit up. Case and point: Chaz French.
Chaz French is a homegrown wunderkind that has built his buzz locally. A while back he took the stage at DC's Broccoli Fesh along with Cam'ron, Just Blaze, Kelela, Sango, and GoldLink. As he emerges as a player to watch in the region, you'd be wise to take notice now; Chaz's momentum train is rapidly picking up steam and it's only a matter of time before his day comes. With the release of his debut mixtape, Happy Belated, on the horizon, the rapper has released his first ever video for the tape's lead single, "Came Down."

"Came Down" is a bold introduction for Chaz French; he shout raps his way directly onto your radar. The video features black and white imagery and a topless Chaz adorned in gold chains hopping around what appears to be an abandoned warehouse, and he talks his shit with a vengeance. "I try to tell these muthafuckas they aint shit / But I guess I gotta show 'em, guess I gotta stop talking / Niggas gotta know just what it is," he opens and it's enchanting.
