With the mainstream success of rappers Mac Miller, Macklemore, and most recently G-Eazy, the attainability for white rappers to transcend and be accepted within hip hop has never been greater. Although this phenomena has led to the over saturation of the rap game with people who perceive that they have a greater degree of talent then they actually do, out of this over saturation there are only a few rappers who are truly talented. One of them is Trey Palms. The reason: Trey Palms hasn’t generated quite the following as of yet is because he has been on a short hiatus as well as being a part of an overloaded environment where it’s easy for talent to be looked over. Recently Trey Palms has been releasing new content, like “Back of My Mind”, and now “Fly Off”. “Fly Off” is one of Palms strongest tracks, with dynamic production by WhatSoNot and energetic bars by Palms; “Fly Off” is a clear indication that Palms is destined for success this year. His development as an artist is undeniable and if he keeps on this trajectory with his musical craft you will be hearing Palms name a lot more.
Keep it locked to EARMILK for all the latest on Trey Palms and be sure to stay on the look out for his upcoming EP Image is Nothing which is due out in the coming weeks. As for now, stream “Fly Off” below.
