Emotional songstress Lana Del Rey has been getting plenty of attention and air time these days as her next anticipated album Ultraviolence will be dropping soon next month. She's known for her dark, airy vocals with downtempo and ambient effects to accentuate the mood. One of her latest singles, "West Coast" was released a few weeks ago and has generated quite the buzz raking in millions of viewers and listeners.
Ajay Bhattacharyya, a.k.a. STINT takes "West Coast" and does a complete 180. Instead of trying to match the gloomy, melancholic style of Lana Del Rey, he spins the tune in an uplifting and energetic way. Incorporating whistling and horns, STINT effectively turned the song into a happy-go-lucky electronic song. He strips everything from the original, but keeps the vocals in tact which happens work wonders.
We're all sunshine in these hereabouts.
